Introduction

Lognboarder was in town for a quick in and out business trip to the Big D so a few of us gathered for a casual dinner at Campania. Wine theme was "2006 Tuscans".

    Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of florals, berries and talc. Flavors of berries and cherries. Medium acidity, tannins and body. Pretty seamless on the palate. One of the better Lucente I've had. Drink over the short term.

    Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of smoke, berries and cherries. Flavors of berries, cherries and minerals. Medium acidity, tannins and body. I'd hold into the medium term before trying again therefore no rating on this particular bottle. Could have shown better with more age.
