We had a nice meal with Dan and Bridget at The Orchard. Ann had Pork Belly and I had Duck. All the wines were nice food wines and paired well with our meals.
Ann and I liked this chard quite a bit. Not too oaky and buttery but also not to crisp and clean. Went very well with food. I wish I bought more than one and look forward to trying Pax's other whites.
Italy, Tuscany, Montalcino, Brunello di Montalcino
Similar notes as last time except I didn't notice any eucyliptus this time. Maybe a litle anise with the cherry fruit and earthy notes. Slightly tart. Went well with the duck.
