This rich napa cab is coming along well, with ripe (but maybe not beautiful) cherry and blackberry. It is not as strong as the outstanding '01 in a side-by-side.
This smokey '01 beats the '02 hands down in a side-by-side. Its fruit, spice, and mineral flavors are complex, in harmony, and supported by a good backbone of acidity and tannins.
