Colour: Pale yellow with a green tint Nose: Flinty with plenty of fresh lemon and mandarin. Toasty nuts and white flowers. Palette: Huge mouthfeel and plenty of crunchy acid. Powerful and textural with a complex mid-palette but no edges. Long long finish. Overall: Very interesting and masculine. Not for the faint hearted! Cellaring: 5-7 years easily.

Colour: Mulberry stains Nose: Savoury dark red fruits, plum and black cherry dominate. Almost sweet raspberry notes as well. Palette: Very light and plenty of fresh fruit. Very elegant and soft. Subtle spice and coffee come through at the end. Just enough savoury to get by. Silky smooth and surprising length given the fruit dominance. Overall: Just misses the mark for overall balance, but great elegance and simplicity. Cellaring: Would be interesting to see what happens over the next 3 to 7 years.

Palette: Silky smooth with soft delicate savoury flavours balanced with subtle currant, cassis and black fruits. Overall: A really balanced and complete wine and very competitivly priced. Cellaring: 10 to 15 years, but fabulous now.

Colour: Dark purple. Nose: Quite closed still, but plenty of dried herbs and blackcurrant. Palette: Very fine dusty tannis. Big ripe fruits and huge all over mouthfeel. Massive long focussed finish. Overall: A very serious Bordeaux blend and priced correctly. Cellaring: Could go for 20 to 30 years. Would be exciting to look at over a few decades.

A huge mid palette and a long follow through with a sweet peppry finish. Overall: Shiraz worth buying and drinking. Cellaring: Great after a decant, but will really start shining in 4 years.
