For a 2002 you would have expected a decent amount of acidity, yet this was slighly flabby. Blind you might think it could be a 2003 given the heat wave that year. Alot of oak that is slightly overpowering. Mellowed a good bit after 1 hour in the glass.

Tight and restrained. Showing really well. Great balance with super acidity for a great year like 2005. Just a touch of oak. I need to forget about my other bottle for at least 5 years.

Probably opened about 8-10 hours before serving. Quite concentrated for an 2004. Just goes to say that for Burgundy it's Producer, Producer, Producer. Opened up after about 45 mins in the glass.

A little closed, probably should have decanted the wine even though it was opened early enough. No sign of any stinkyness here! A solid wine but no blockbuster tonight.

2005 Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne

Tight and restrained. Showing really well. Great balance with super acidity for a great year like 2005. Just a touch of oak. I need to forget about my other bottle for at least 5 years.
