Joe's
Tasted Sunday, May 23, 2010 by AllRed with 806 views
The wines for the tasting are served double blind to the group in brown paper bags, unless noted otherwise. Each flight is tasted, discussed and unveiled before moving on to the next flight. Wines are listed in the order they appeared in the flight.
Joe had a few samples left over and set them up nonblind on the patio.
The Angélus and Bon Pasteur were opened and served immediately from small decanters so essentially they were popped & poured.
2009 F&E Bodegas Realeza Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Penrosa 86 Points
Spain, Castilla y León, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León
Darkest rosé in the flight with a dark ruby/pink color. Notes of rose petal and berries lead to flavors of strawberry and cherries, supported by nice acidity. Hint of spice on the finish.

Light pinkish-salmon color. Watermelon and berry aromas follow through on the palate. Good underlying acidity with a decent finish. Nice, though not quite as expressive as the 2008.
