Deep ruby color. Black cherry jello nose. Tastes of cherry, blackberry and charred oak. Refreshing acidity with some reasonable balanced. Earthy finish. Lacking the complexity to be a truly great wine. 14.4% alcohol.
Deep ruby color. Raspberry aromas. Flavors of black cherry, raspberry and earth. Bitter chalky finish. These Rochioli Pinot's are just not working for me in general. Not sure what all the fuss is about. 14.5% alcohol.
Deep garnet color. Earthy cherry nose. Heavily oxidized. Undrinkable.
Cloudy ruby color. VA on the nose. Cough syrup finish. Undrinkable.
Corked. Quite unfortunate as this wine has been spectacular in the past. 14.9% alcohol.
Dark purple color. Black fruit with some charred oak notes on the nose. Charred oak also dominates the mid palate and finish. The fruit seems to be in hiding. Completely shut down I am assuming. Chewy tannins. Needs time. Respectfully left unrated. 14.5% alcohol.
Brick red color. Stewed fruit. Heat damaged. Bottle No. 3033. 14% alcohol.
Dark ruby color. Spicy red fruit aromatics. Flavors of raspberry, cherry, anise and earth. Very well balanced. You can sense the extreme depth and complexity of this wine even thought it is quite shutdown at the moment. Full bodied. Very firm tannins. Not giving an inch. Hold for 5-10 more years at least. This wine showed much more 3 years ago. 13% alcohol.
