Dark garnet color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of graham crackers, currants, white pepper and some floral notes. Flavors of Kirsch, licorice, currants and berries. Medium acidity, firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Little hot on both the nose and palate. Drink over the short to medium term with some air time beforehand.

Opened and decanted for two hours before double decanting back into the bottle for transport to the tasting. Finally reopened and served immediately about 5 hours after initial opening. Just about perfect decanting for this still very young wine. Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of currants, raspberries, melted red licorice and mixed berries. Rich flavors of berries, cherries, currants and raspberries. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink now with a proper decant or continue to hold.

Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of roasted meat, roasted coffee, toast, spices and mixed dark fruits. Rick flavors of berries, Bing cherries, plums, raspberries and bitters on the long finish. Medium to bright acidity, medium to firm tannins, full bodied. Can be drank now with sufficient air time or preferably continue to hold.
