classic and traditional Pauillac nose of earth and black currant. somewhat backward. stylistically very different to the current decade of Pontet Canets.
nice perfume nose of sweet earth, graphite and a touch of vanilla. muscular structure with magnificent concentration and formidable tannins. no doubt this will last for at least 50+ years but for now it is a bit backward and lags behind the exotic and aromatic 2003.
