Compared to the 2007, this has more intense grapefruit, sexy lavender, bright lilac and dandelion stems. Bracing acidity and nice minerality make this a really approachable, enjoyable GV.
Beautiful nose of peach, mango, and straw. Very dense wine that has really nice structure at the same time - would go wonderfully with a wide array of foods. Great acidity as well.
Sexy nose filled with smoke and peach fuzz. Again, a lot more floral notes of lavender and liliac. Wonderfully rich and accessible with ripping minerals and acidity. Really lovely wine.
Fresh nose of apricot, peach, star fruit, and smoky minerals. Wonderfully exotic nose overall. Dense mouthfeel, with scary balance. Such an interesting wine....gobs of honeycomb and sweet pineapple with great acidity and underlying minerality.
Very herbaceous nose, driven by basil, and oregano. A bit flabbier than the 2007, lacking a bit of the acidic backbone that was so impressive in the 2007 cuvee. To its credit, this is still a fabulous wine exhibiting elegant tropical fruit and wet stone.

Nose is much less interesting compared to the 2007. Really attractive floral and pure tropical fruit juice. A bit more fruit-forward and less firm - in a certain way, it might be considered somewhat flabby compared to the 2007.
Very fresh Riesling with a lot of stone fruit, peach, and roasted herbs. I am loving how these wines are more driven by herbs and minerals than the typical peach/honey of other Rieslings.

Nose is filled with roasted vegetables - green peas, asparagus, brussel sprouts and broccoli. It's also wonderfully spicy, and racy. One of the denser GV's of the day, I think this would benefit from some aging...as it felt a bit tight at the moment.
Smoked herbs, diesel fuel, and lemon zest on the nose. Somewhat disappointed this time with this bottle's mid-palate...very very attractive minerality, and acidity. Would go wonderfully with roasted pork, chicken, and almost all types of seafood. Beautifully elegant.
Rich nose of tobacco leaf, dried cherry, and tart cranberry. Lots of oak on the nose and integrated throughout the palate. Not sure if this will get better in a couple years, but I get a sense that having the oak mellow out would make it far better.
