1997 Zind-Humbrecht Riesling Rangen de Thann Clos St. Urbain 91 Points

the nose on this wine was spectacular. tons of honey, brioche, almond paste. still very fresh and vibrant. could last for years. really silky and delicious.

2007 Murphy-Goode Chardonnay Minnesota Cuvée 89 Points
USA, California, Sonoma County, Alexander Valley
drank with tooch and summer. nose of lovely almonds, creme fraisch and lots of vanilla. this wine is fat and yummy with lots of almond paste, golden apples. long, finish.

tooch brought this red, and it rocked. lots of blueberry, blackberry and dark pepper on the nose and palate, very sexy. lots of fruit, but its backed up by lots of fruit.

dark purple color. the nose is really tight, but there's a lot in there that will come out with a bit more time. lots of blackberries, reduced plums, and smoky meat. dense and tannic on the palate. if there was more acid in this wine, i'd rate it even higher. i like the structure of this wine, but think it would be better with some time.
