Beautiful nose. Bright, lively red fruits. Soft palate, then the tannins kick in, but not to the extent of the Sagrantino DOCG bottlings. Nice structure. Food wine, and my favorite of the line up when price is considered. 88+
Rich, ruby color. Almost a heady nose, due to all the sensual aromatics. Cherries, dried fruits, iron. Similar on the palate. Very Italian. Drying and tannic. Really needs food. 90+
Not as drastically tannic as the regular bottling. A little softer. The minerality comes through. Might be modern in style, but the Italian really comes through. 91-92
