Taste from Hezi's dinner at Ria. Medium light brick red color. Barnyardy personality. Real dirty - in a great way. Soy, balsamic vinegar, ruistic Bordeaux like aromas. Palate shows more medium dark raspberries, cherries, rhubarb, menthol and lightly charred pine needles. Some nice bitterness on the back end of the palate. A very well aged Cali Cab. Classic producer, classic vintage. Drinking well now.

Taste from Hezi's dinner at Ria. Brick red color. A lovely classically styled Bordeaux. Showing excellent depth and finesse. Nose showcases licorice, lush red fruit, a nice dose of minty cocoa and some rustic damp earth. The palate shows delicate fruit, fresh leather saddle, more dusty cocoa - like a Swiss Miss hot cocoa mix. Nice grainy tannin structure in a gorgeous sense. A really young wine in general, but it opened up nicely after about 5 hours in the glass. My second Pavie - and my second winner.
Taste from Hezi's dinner at Ria. Deep rich dark crimson red color. Nice prune aromas coupled with dark purple fruit, carmalized brown sugar, and tarry Band-Aid. Cinnamon, molasses and some light beefy aromas. Palate is rich and high in glycerin. Sappy raisinated fruit with the same burnt caramel brown sugar play. Really well made and deliciously complete wine. Very nice.
Taste from Hezi's dinner at Ria. Virtually black in color - purple at the rim. Meaty with lots of black pepper spice. Blackberries, blueberries, tar, charcoal, black olives, with a really gamey savory personality. So so good. Weighty and full of rich viscous glycerin on the finish. The palate is multi-layered with enormous personality. A masculine effort with a touch of enjoyable heat on the back end. Blueberry cobbler aromas and flavors coming through as well. Purple flowers - lilacs. Really really lovely wine. High alcohol but it's in check and is very well integrated with tannins and acid. Bravo. A true winner. This will age effortlessly for two or more decades. But it's drinking well now - as many of Krankl's wines do during their infintile stages.
Tasting from Hezi's dinner at Ria. Still the reigning king of dessert wines on the planet. Gorgeous aromas of freshly baked brioche, sugar cookies, white flowers, light spice and a touch of petrol. Lovely palate displaying fresh peach, light baking spice, lots of gorgeous floral elements and more of that cool fresh gas essence. Very elegant. Yellow apples and honey on the back end with a light straw play. Finish is astounding. It goes on and on and on. I don't want to drink anything for ten minutes after each sip of the wine. Lovely weight with typical Y'quem viscocity. This is a legend in the making. Stunning and profound. Wow! You can't help but smile after sipping this gorgeous elixir.
