One of my favorite wines in this style I've ever tasted. I LOVE Cayuse. So unique and individually styled it's remarkable. Super funky and really pugent intriguing aromas. Screaming of wet dog, damp earth, spice, pepper and lots of wood. Really yummy new oak. Sawdust and remarkable aromas of anise. Meaty, menthol, clay. The different smells that are coming from the glass are so well expressed it took me almost three minutes before I had my first sip. Though there was so much going on the wine wasn't over the top in style. It was masculine but the finish sported serious finesse. Completely balanced with nice acidity and firm tannins leading me to believe this wine will age gracefully for 15-20 years. Kudos to Christophe Baron.

Light baking spice, anise, and iron structure aromas. Silky and I feel more feminine in style. Really nice acidity. A very solid wine that seems to be drinking well but has another five to seven years of life.

Lovely cloudy medium deep purple color in the glass. Nose of anise, green vegetation (peppers), wet moss, pure ocean breeze and fresh strawberry. Fresh linen and leather lend a nice backbone within the aroma of the wine - well structured. The palate is still really really young and agree with Phil, very forward in its approach of fruit - though it's still showing well. Nice acidity and a really appealing and sexy tannin structure. There's a touch of oak as well but it's elegant and classically toned. A cool bottling - though from a vineyard "the size of Montana."

Lighter red color than the '03. More shroomyness, cherries, fresh raspberry cobbler, a light and plush and volumous aroma. Fruitier on the nose with a little spice - curry spice. Light cherry and strawberry. Elegant and feminine in style. Tighter on the palate with higher noticeable acidity. Super young. Tons of potential but the finish needs to come together.
Funky soft cheese with some light baking spice medium dark pepper and fresh leather. Palate is a bit hollow on the mid palate but the front and back ends make up for it. Light balsamic notes as well. Nice and stinky Bordeaux.
Wonderful wine. Fruity and juicy. Pretty plush in style while still retaining Old World styling and some nice rustic traits. Some nice candied fruit coupled with freshly toasted oak and charred leather. Lovely depth and saturation of fruit and earth. Stunning. The palate has a light metalic play - I suppose you can say graphite - just a real "deep gray" personality. It's leady. On the back end classic cigar box aromas and light balsamic tones show their presence. Lots of oak, earth and dusty fine grainy tannins which are perfectly integrated. This is feminine, graceful and very well made. The finish goes on and shows excellent style and purity. This wine is still just a baby. Overall, an awesome wine experience. Thank you Kevin.

Strong scent of sulfur on the nose - quite pungent but enjoyable. Yellow fruit but it's mostly hidden by the chemy smell. Cream and butter but a bit sour and funk-da-fied. Gun metal as well on the nose. The palate shows a rusty quality - metallic. Very eccentric. A unique vineyard displaying its chalky and strongly pronounced mineral quality.

Candied apple - full and pretty. Then, more candied fruit. Love this style of winemaking. Really heady with a super watermelon driven personality - fun and joyful! Jolly Rancher is also there - watermelon and strawberry flavored - with a silky, round and opulent New Worldy nose. Palate has solid acidity but still a really rich creamyness that I love in Pinot. A nice whole cluster stemmyness reveals itself at the finsih. Solid length. Such a great producer. Such a fantastic vineyard. Love it.

Clean pure and unadulterated white pepper spice. A little meatyness as well displaying a lush palate. A little bit of heat from the hotter vintage is evident. Nice and fat and robust but really stylish with laser like focus of fruit and earth.
Really surprised everyone. Showed really well amongst a group of Silver Oak haters - myself only slightly included. Spicy, medium dark fruit. Lots of pepper with robust cinnamon, nut meg and vanilla. Sour cherry is the most dominant fruit but can't compete with the spicey herbaciousness. Some nice roasted / stewed fruit. The palate is clean with light mocha and cola notes on the back end.
An incredibly focused super clean and fresh white with excellent tart lemon and other citric notes. Some tropical action as well with pineapple, coconut and just a deliciousness factor that I enjoy in all wine. Really plush fruit. Rich and fat. A complete white Burg.
Showing some nice age in the wine. A deep crimson red / tints of brown. Funky stink, leather, light anise, and menthol on the nose and palate. Masculine in style. This is ageing well - but time to drink up.
Another great Yquem with little to no signs of age. Nutty, petrol, classically styled. Such great purity and length. Lip smackingly good. White peach apricot. So good. What more can I say. This IS the best dessert wine in the world.
First bottle was off - showed some unappealing effervesence. Second bottle still showed a touch of fizz, but alot less obtrusive. Gripping red berries and a bit disjointed in the finish. Not too impressed this time around for a wine at this price point.

Funky soft cheese with some light baking spice medium dark pepper and fresh leather.
Palate is a bit hollow on the mid palate but the front and back ends make up for it.
Light balsamic notes as well. Nice and stinky Bordeaux.

An incredibly focused super clean and fresh white with excellent tart lemon and other citric notes.
Some tropical action as well with pineapple, coconut and just a deliciousness factor that I enjoy in all wine.
Really plush fruit. Rich and fat. A complete white Burg.
