First wine of an Austrian tasting evening. Very pink with a pleasant aroma. Quite refreshing. Tastes of summer fruits but avoids being sweet.

A delicate riesling with good minerality and typical apricot fruit. Lacks the oomph I look for in a riesling but nicely made and very drinkable.
New style should tell you everything you need to know...a heavily oaked chardonnay. Of its type, not bad avoiding the butteriness of the worst Australian offenders but not my thing.
An interesting SB, more restrained than the Kiwi offerings but still full flavoured. Fruity (but not tropical) with a nice spicy finish.
An unusual grape variety. Bright and fruity with well integrated oak. I enjoyed this.
Full bodied, spicy red but a bit too oaked for my taste.
A blend of blaufrankisch and zweigelt - Deep red with cherry and bitter chocolate. Good.
An excellent wine, grew in complexity in the glass. Deep red, lots of plum and bitter fruit, dry with well integrated tanins.
