Introduction
Another great tasting and the German wines did not disappoint. My wine of the night was the Fritz Haag Auslese which is drinking well now and for estimated another 20 years.
2005 Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 91 Points
Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer
Drinking well right now with peach, petrol, minerlas and pear. Medium finish and the palate is showing some ripe fruit.

2006 Weingut Josef Leitz Rüdesheimer Berg Roseneck Riesling trocken 92 Points
Germany, Rheingau
A stellar wine with floral, orange, minerals and pear. Good balance between sweet and sour and great minerality on the finish. Really drinking well right now.

Nice overall but not as good as the 07 side by side. Peach, pear, floral, sour apples and minerals. Good acidity and this would be perfect with spicy foods.

A bit better than the 05 with peach, floral, orange, and slate. Nice sweetness on the wine and this really shows the slate quality that so many Germans show.

A beautiful wine with apricots, peach, floral and minerals dancing around in your mouth. The wine is balanced and shows a lot of complexity. Medium finish with a nice combo of fruits and minerals.

A super Auslese. Honey, apricots, floral and peach dominate on this off-dry wine. Good complexity and the finish is lively with good acidity and ripe fruits. Highly recommended wine.
