Floral, intense perfume. Cloves, cinammon, sweet mineral/gasoline. Soft with good acidity. Creamy feel. Liquorice/aniseed. Apples and cloves. Very pleasant.
This won't be everyone's taste, but I love these buttery, rich chardonnays. Nose of tropical fruit, butterscotch, marzipan, nuts. Very creamy, very rich. Smooth, lush palate. Ripe fruit, full and unctuous. Just a little heat on the finish.
Quite pale, brickish rim. Sweet ripe cherry liqueur nose. Spicy, creamy. Soft baked cherry fruit palate. Bitter finish. This would be perfect with pizza.
Dark, brooding. Slightly closed and taut on the aroma side of things. Palate is wonderfully open. Baked, juicy fruit. Tannic with some bitter chocolate. Quite hot. Fruit comes back and gets you once more on the finish. Very traditional Sicilian red, very well done.
Tawny. Smells of wood polish, but a good dollop of jammy fruit is there too. Fruit is very fleshy, nicely soft. Has a good tannic bite, quite warm and cosy. Nice level of acidity here too. Probably not worth the £30 plus price tag though.
2009 Mandrarossa Fiano Sicilia 87 Points

Lightly perfumed, melon notes. Fairly full, rounded and smooth. Apricot flavours with bitter spicy finish. Nice aperitif and excellent value.
