Wildman's Sancerre and Jolivet

Great oysters and Chablis and Sancerre and more seafood. This was fantastic. In my opinion the Sancerre was the clear winner with these oysters, which were a variety from RI locations.

  Soft. Ok. Easy going. Better then the two previous vints, and I understand that every year they use more estate fruit, so that makes sense.

  Medium in the level of brightness as compared with others. This comes at you. Has a saline quality. Very nice wine, one of the top vineyards in this tasting. 91-92

  Bright nose. Rounder mouthfeel then other Sancerres. Very pure. This is a great SB. Really beautiful nose. Delicious. That being said, I don't understand why anyone would want to spend $90 for it. 92-93

  This is showing better then when I first tried it, although that may in part have to do with the extra time I had to spend with it. Round nose, showing some fullness. The acidity is in very nice play with the fruit. Very high quality AC. 88-89

  I thought this really rocked, bringing much excitement then the regular Vaillon. The nose is a little muted, but the palate brings and a great intensity, with a lot of depth. This is a delicious Chablis. 92+

  This was probably the top wine of the tasting, but there were a lot of winners. Serious Chard. This has some richness, and even shows a little yellow apple, behind the green apple. Classy and terrific. 93-95
