Probably the best champagne I've tried. Much more like a beautiful wine than a non-descript champagne. Some orange blossom citrus and green apple in taste. Deep yellow colored. Great one.
Ruby orange color, nice but sharp nose. Decanted. Tart cherry and soft plum in the mouth. Initially, some barnyard (exposed to warm temperatures during cellaring). Lingering aftertase. Tannins have all mellowed out. But after about 2 hrs. the wine really opened up and all the prior flaws faded away.
This wine is 12 years old, but it's still a baby. Lots of tannins still remain, and it's held its deep purple color. Watery edge. Decanted as has some sediment. Huge earth, barnyard, and tobacco in the nose. Carries over into the pallet, with some soy and black pepper additional. Still some alcohol in the finish.
Big, tart, Napa cab. I can taste it in my gums. Deep purple. Lingers for a good 20+ sec; well ballanced. Some alcohol in finish. Earthy and dirt with significant tart red berry, especially cranberry. Great.
Very unique wine. Decanted. Beautiful brick rim with purple center. Quite noticeable aroma and pallet of veined cheese in the nose. Some tobacco, mineral, red berry, and earth underneath. Lasts forever and incredibly ballanced.
