Slightly funky nose, earthy, bell pepper, rich with more tannins than the CC Grand Estates. Chewy. I wouldn't guess this to be merlot if blinded. The group was split on this wine but I liked it.

Nice nose with earth and fruit. Blueberry, blackberry, ripe fruit. Nice acidity, chewy. I liked this wine quite a bit. I see the average price is $28 on cellar tracker which I think is pretty good for this wine. We paid $48 at Total wine which is not such a deal.
Lots of cherry and vanilla. Red fruits and vanilla....lots of vanilla! Soft. Many in the group including Ann liked this and the grand estates but they were just to simple and showed too much vanilla for my taste.
2006 Columbia Crest Merlot Grand Estates
USA, Washington, Columbia Valley
Fruity, chocolate, cherry and vanilla. Pretty soft and simple but for $9.99 this is a nice wine.
