Awesome earthy nose and palate with hint of pepper and a long chewy finish. Drinking beautifully now, and has some characteristics of a wine with a lot more bottle age on it.
beautifully smooth ribera del duero. despite the smoothness it still has that signature funk. very long finish - unmistakably high end. I was dying to try this because I love their lower tier wine (the Bodegas del Jaro Jaros). As much as I liked this, for my money the Jaros is a much better QPR.
tasted on opening and then again after the bottle had been open (no decant, just open bottle) for about 5 hours. this is quite nice. a very intriguing coconut/almond blend on the nose, with beautifully subtle oak/vanilla notes on the very smooth palate. nicely balanced, with medium finish.

thin, bright, and sharp. on the red/pink end of the color spectrum. hot on the back of the palate, which dominates the finish.
