nose -strong mint, leather (per brian), pine sap (per cindy) mouth - ultrasmooth juicy red cherries, followed by mint. classically built and aged, bravo. Reminded me of some early 90's diamond creek cabs.
nose - graphite (brian), smoke, coconut mouth - still very tannic, and very very dry with fruit punchy flavors. the fruit is sweeter and more candied than that found in the 92 Lewis.
nose - roses, earth, hints of sweet nectar, per cindy followed by a tinge reminiscent of smoky chipotle mouth- sharp and well delineated, good minerality, cranberry & sour cherry, overall an extremely elegant drink. My WOTN.
nose - caramel, heavy sweet oak mouth - chocolate covered berries. Heavily candied, yet drinking delicious. A solo sipper, not a food wine in my opinion. Still very young.
nose - huge herbal nose, strong pepper, per miguel 'green bud' mouth - peppery and vegetal. if there were ever a peppery wine, this is it. Actually wine had more vibrant fruit when initially opened, more subdued after a few hours decant. Currently drinking as if it were a digestif. Somewhat of an enigma. I am unable to see how it got a 98 from WA.
