    maybe unfairly overwhelmed when put side by side with the stunning 1990. notes of sweet plum, leather and hints of game. feels somewhat tight and not reaching its full potential yet.

    showing really well after a couple of hours in decanter. lovely nose of sweet fruits and smoke, with a touch of lead pencil. powerful and balanced. definitely the most masculine wine of the evening.
