    Closed but nice nose of red /fresh fruits and vanilla. Light bodied, predominant acidity. Flat. (52.5$)

  • 2006 Château Latour à Pomerol 88 Points

    Bright Garnet. Restrained but interesting nose. Some kind of dusty fruits. Light body with predominant tannins. A bit flat.(92$)

    The second wine by Lafleur. It is both impressive and elegant, with red and dark fruits, vanilla. Light bodied, excellent balance, good acidity. Elegant. (162$)

    Powerful nose with a lot of ripe fruit and chocolate. Medium bodied, soft tannins, good balance and acidity. This is an excellent wine (96$)

  • 2007 Vieux Château Certan 90 Points

    A restrained but elegant wine. A bit closed nose with red and black fruits in the front and vanilla in the background. Light bodied with still very predominant acidity(172$).

    Dark purple. Powerful nose with ripe fruits and chocolate. This is a modern Pomerol, flatterer than the classics. A lot of fruit in the palate, Medium bodied. A bit of bitterness in the finish. Excellent (172$).

    For me, this was the best Pomerol of the tasting. Both impressive and refined. Dark fruit and chocolate in the nose, but in a restrained and elegant dosage. Good harmony between nose and palate. A lot of fruit in the mouth also. Medium bodied, excellent balance, soft tannins and predominant acidity with a long finish (148$).

    This wine made a lot of expectation among the panel. I have to admit that I didn’t understand what it was all about. The nose was too close although elegant. Light bodied with soft tannins, predominant acidity and long finish (160$)

    Excellent nose with ripe fruits and chocolate – it reminded me the Hosanna tasted before. Elegant, light to medium bodied, soft tannins. Not completely balanced at the moment, it should evolve (1600$)
