Introduction
A gathering of friends to sample a variety of Oregon Pinots. The Evesham Wood was really nice and I hope the White Rose is not declining from where it was.
2006 Patricia Green Cellars Panama White 90 Points

Just a fun wine with over 16% alcohol. Oak, vanilla, orange peel, pear and lemon. While not the most balance Sauvignon Blanc I have ever sampled certainly one of the most interesting.

2006 Argyle Pinot Noir Nuthouse Willamette Valley 91 Points

A nice wine that is certainly New World with oak, vanilla, jam and cherry on the nose. The palate offers sweet tannins, strawberry, jam and oak. Medium finish and a concentrated wine. Not for the Old World fan but I enjoyed it.

Outstanding effort from 07 with strawberry, cherry, white pepper, and forest floor. Very elegant wine and good acidity. My second favorite wine of the tasting.

2007 St. Innocent Pinot Noir White Rose Vineyard 93 Points

Not as good as previous bottles but solid with earth, forest floor, strawberry and floral notes. Good structure and medium finish.

2008 Bergström Pinot Noir Cumberland Reserve 91 Points

Big like the Argyle Nuthouse. Spice, earth, oak and vanilla on the nose. The palate picks up some ripe fruit. Overall a nice wine and concentrated. I still enjoyed the 07 of this wine better.

2006 MacPhail Pinot Noir Pratt Vineyard 91 Points

Served next to a bunch of Oregon Pinots. Strawberry, raspberry, vanilla, and sour cherries. This is ripe in style and good concentration. No heat and a solid effort.
