2009 Lewinsohn Garage de Papa Blanc 91 Points
Israel, Judean Hills, Jerusalem Mountains
The wine fermented in barriques without malolactic. This is a sophisticated, complex chardonnay, with aromas of nuts and mineral. Fresh in the palate, a combination of buttery and crispiness. A bit low in acidity (35$).

2008 Clos de Gat Cabernet Sauvignon Har'El 91 Points
Israel, Judean Hills
The wine aged 12 months in oak, 60% new. In the nose, a lot of red and dark fruit mixed with flowers. Medium bodied and well balanced. This is an elegant wine, not the "classic" bombastic-ripe-mouthfilling Israeli Cabernet.

2007 Psagot Cabernet Sauvignon Single Vineyard 91 Points

Dark, impenetrable purple. In the nose a lot of ripe fruits and vanilla. Full-bodied, thick, tannic, well balanced. Very Good (36$).

2006 Pelter T-Selection Shiraz Grenache 92 Points

Bright ruby color. Superb nose, complex- fruits, flowers, alcohol. Medium to full bodied. The palate in good harmony with the nose. Soft tannins very well integrated and nice acidity. Excellent!

2007 Yatir Shiraz 90 Points

Purple-black impenetrable color. The Yatir took us back to the classic Israeli premium wine: ripe fruits, chocolate, alcohol. A lot of sweetness in the palate, full bodied, and still sharp tannins. It needs a few years to soften (32$).

2008 Flam Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 92 Points

Although the Flam Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is programmed to be launched in next April (Pesah), we had the opportunity to taste it during this event. It was superb, one of the bests in this tasting. Beautiful bright ruby color. In the nose a mix of red and ripe fruits, flowers and alcohol. Full, muscular body, with excellent acidity. A bit stinging, it needs to settle down.

2007 Golan Heights Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Yarden Yonatan 92 Points

Purple-black, almost impenetrable color. Very concentrated. Ripe fruits and chocolate in the nose. Good harmony between the nose and the palate. Mouthfilling, concentrated. A lot, lot, lot of sweet fruits in the mouth. Approachable right now(48$).

Opaque purple. Both red/fresh fruits and ripe fruits, with hints of flowers. Superb body, mouthfilling, well integrated tannins, predominant acidity and long finish (41$).

2007 Carmel Limited Edition 89 Points

The first bottle was corky, so we opened a second one, right poured to the glasses. The wine was closed and didn’t give much. Ripe fruits, full bodied, not completely balanced. This should be a great wine, although I couldn't get a good impression (49$).

2008 Domaine du Castel Grand Vin Judean Hills 94 Points

The Castel Grand Vin was the undisputed "winner" of the tasting. Opaque purple color. Superb nose, complex and elegant – ripe fruits, flowers, earth, and also bret. Full-bodied, and muscular, with terrific acidity. It was approachable now, but it should smooth and improve in a couple of years (55$)
