1996 J. Moreau & Fils Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 91 Points
France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis Grand Cru
Not great expectations for this wine as the cork looked dried out but the wine was very drinkable. It could have used a decant as later in the night it went from a 89 to 91. While it is past peak it still offered enjoyment with shells, lemon, honey and minerals.

2000 Château Rauzan-Ségla 93 Points

Really nice wine and decanted about an hour. Spice, gravel, pencil lead and subtle fruit on the nose. The palate was great and showed a little grittiness along with pencil lead, gravel, minerals, cherry, rapsberry and earth. Medium to long finish and a very concentrated wine. Tannins are medium. I would say this wine has another 15 years of extreme enjoyment.

2004 Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande 93 Points

Nice wine and improved with some time. Decanted one hour but needed more time. Charcoal, raspberry, minerals, roses and cedar come together to offer an enjoyable experience. This is a wine to drink with a small group and see the development over 2 or 3 hours. Medium finish and plenty of life left on this wine.

1999 Penfolds Grange 94 Points

A really nice wine and decanted 2 hours prior to sampling. Fine sediment filtered out. Dark purple. Not an in your face Aussie Shiraz with blueberries, pepper, Asian spices and blackberries on the nose. The palate is showing medium tannins and this is an elegant wine in general. Sampled right next to the Greenock Creek Apricot Block which was much more intense. The Grange had a long and multi-layered finish. I don't see this wine being a 20 plus year cellar selection and enjoyed it right now. Well done. 94+

2001 Greenock Creek Shiraz Apricot Block 94 Points

I was blown away with the intensity of this wine. A little heat that blew off quick. Super dark in color and a nose of black pepper, cedar, licorice, blackberries, blueberries and spices. Mulit-layered wine and super long finish. Not as graceful as the 01 Run Rig and 99 Grange but really a great wine. 94+

2001 Torbreck RunRig 95 Points

A stunning wine which needed 3 hours to really open up. On the nose charcoal, blackberries, raspberries, and earth. The wine was strained to remove sediment but fine particle matter was still present. Great structure to this wine and the tannins were slightly less than medium at this stage of development. A really long finish without any flaws. This is a top five Aussie Shiraz for sure. I would see this having another decade of enjoyment.

2006 Sturino Trotta Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Special Select 91 Points

Tasted blind and based on the color no clue it was Cabernet. Super light in color. Cedar, spice, floral, raspberries and minerals. Not your typical in your face California Cabernet but much more subtle and possesses good acidity.
