Medium-gold, vibrant. Somewaht tight nose that opens a the temperature increases and shows peach, honey, hints of eucalyptus and oak. Off-dry medium-bodied, green apple, lychee, pepper. Very well balanced, lime, mineral, good fruit acidity, medium-long finish. Got much better in the glass as the body grew noticeable. Well crafted and stood up well against Francine's lobster bisque with morsels. Value/money = 8. Delivered what's it supposed to.

Pale ruby as expected, light spices, some notes of forest floor (wet ;-), red fruits, raspberry, small red cherries. On the palate this fruit-rich wine has ample, spice, solid structure and body. Medium fully integrated tannins, the long finish and the juicy bite make this an ideal dinner wine. The braised duck with porcine mushrooms and Jerusalem artichoke purée, as part of my birthday dinner made by dear Francine, was a match made in heaven. If Burg is good it is surreal. Value/money = 9
Decanted for 3 hours. Pronounced beautiful saturated garnet. Medium layered bouquet of red cherry plum, black currants dried fruit and sweet spices like thyme, full bodied, off-dry. wells sutructured tannins and enough acidity to support the beautiful slow-roasted lamb shoulder with ratatouille and reduced sauce Francine made for my birthday. Long, I mean long > 12 sec finish. The wine exudes the heat of the Mediterranean summers, you sense the heat captured in the rocks. A food wine par excellence. Value/money = 9.
