Flight 1 - Malbec, Shiraz and Petit Verdot (4 Notes)

  • 2008 Ramot Naftaly Malbec 89 Points

    Israel, Galilee, Upper Galilee

    Opaque purple color. In the nose both red and ripe fruits. Medium bodied sweetness in the palate, well balanced, with rough tannins. Good acidity and long finish. Good!(27$)

  • 2008 Ramot Naftaly Syrah 88 Points

    Israel, Galilee

    Opaque purple color. Aromas of red fruits and spices. Light-medium bodied a bit hollow. Good acidity. Nice.

    Reminds the previous wine: Purple opaque color. Closed, with hints of ripe fruits. Medium to full bodied. Also a bit hollow but with good balance

    One of the bests of the tasting. Black, impenetrable color. Alcoholic, with aromas of ripe fruits. Full bodied, round, very tannic.

    Opaque purple. Interesting and complex nose, very different from all the other wines in the tasting. Ripe fruits, sweetness, alcohol. Full bodied, hints of bitterness in the palate.

    Barrel tasting. Opaque purp le-black color. Ripe fruits and alcohol in the nose. Full bodied and mouthfilling, a lot of sweetness in the palate. Soft tannins well integrated. Good balance. Good !
