  Argentina, Mendoza, Valle de Uco

  Medium dark purple. Light nose of veggies and oak. Fills the mouth sith strong tannins and notes of dirt, veggies and oak. Long finish.

• 2006 Tikal Malbec Amorio 91 Points

  Argentina, Mendoza

  Deep red/purple in color. Big red fruit and spice on the nose. In the mouth notes of blackberry and blueberry, cedar and spice. Good mouth feel combined with a medium length, smooth finish.

  Medium purple in color. Red fruit on the nose with a medicinal overtone. Cedar, mineral notes on the palate with red cherry and currants. Medium finish.

  Decanted two hours prior to tasting. Dark purple in color. Nose of black fruit and mineral. Blackberries, plum and mineral on the palate. Quite nice.

  Dark purple in color. Nose of spice and black fruit. On the palate, notes of blackberry, plum and vanilla. Smooth finish that I wish had lasted a bit longer.

  Medium red in color and weight. Lots of dark fruit on the nose, followed in the mouth by more blackberry and black cherry, a bit of vanilla and some spice. Nice QPR.

  Decanted two hours prior to tasting. Almost black in color. Rich nose of black fruit and coffee. On the palate notes of blackberry, black cherry, vanilla and licorice. Coffee and earth in the background. Solid structure and a lingering finish. Exceptionally nice.

  Barn yard funk. Classic French Bordeaux that did not fool anyone in the tasting party. Old world earth and veggies. Not my thing, but a nice representation.
