Introduction
The traditional yearly tasting of Wine Route. 10 of the bests wines in their portfolio. As always, the tasting was directed by Hila. Great wines, great evening!
2007 Domaine de Chevalier Blanc 91 Points
France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan
Bright, light gold, almost transparent color. Very close at first taste, I got mainly nice mineral aromas. It started to develop after an half an hour or so, then we got a terrific and complex nose with tropic fruits, citrus, minerals. A sense of oiliness in the palate, but not heavy. Good!(150$)

2006 Domaine de Marcoux Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieilles Vignes 93 Points

Bright ruby color. Powerful and complex nose with many layers of aromas that makes it hard to crack; most prominent: ripe fruits, smoke and vanilla. Mouthful and full bodied, almost chewy. A lot of fruit and sweetness in the palate. Not too much acidity (it’s a Grenache based CDF), rough tannins. Excellent harmony and balance. Long finish. It needs a few years to soften. Excellent (125$).

2007 Clos Mogador Priorat 92 Points

Purple-black, inky and opaque. Stinky when poured to glass. Very strong sulfide aromas masked all other odors.After half an hour it began to expire and led to aromas of ripe fruits. Full, mouth filling body, a lot of fruit in the palate too, high acidity(85$).

2007 Montes Purple Angel 92 Points

Attractive ruby-black color. Powerful nose, strong ripe fruits aromas mixed with chocolate and hints of coffee. The palate continues the nose, full-bodied, fruity and sweet. Well integrated tannins. Medium finish (55$).

2007 Viñedos Lacalle y Laorden Rioja Viña el Pisón 95 Points

Dark and bright ruby color. Superb, excellent nose, with predominant red and black fruits and chocolate. Full-bodied, high acidity, soft and very well integrated tannins. At this point it is still a bit aggressive, but what a great wine! By far the best of the tasting (447$).

2005 Poderi Aldo Conterno Barolo Romirasco 93 Points

Weak bright ruby color with white edges. Elegant and complex. Fruits aromas mixed with exquisite flowers and vanilla. Medium bodied, good harmony, predominant but silky tannins. Excellent, keep for a few years (155$).

Pretty opaque ruby color. Powerful, exquisite and dense nose with ripe fruits , chocolate and smoke. Medium bodied, good harmony – a lot of fruit and sweetness in the palate. High acidity and long finish.

2005 E. Guigal Ermitage Ex-Voto 93 Points

Dark ruby, partly opaque color. Hard to believe that this wine rested for 42 months in wood. Very young but even now, rich and complex. Aromas of ripe fruits, chocolate and smoke. Full bodied and mouthfilling, with soft tannins. Needs a few years to develop and soften (397$).

2006 Bouchard Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne Domaine 93 Points

Light, bright gold color. Superb nose with dominant citrus and mineral. Buttery, fat body, round and exquisite. A bit of bitterness, long finish (149$).
