  • 2004 Soos Creek Sundance

    USA, Washington, Columbia Valley

    Incredible alcohol on the nose, some mesquite and cassis there. The flavor is just terrible, dirty, no fruit to speak of. Might have been a bad bottle, but it was at a tasting, so seems unlikely. $23

  • 2004 Soos Creek Artist Series

    USA, Washington, Columbia Valley

    Lots of alcohol and metal on the nose. Taste has some spice, ripe fruit, but still alcohol across the midpalate. Definitely a cab flavor, zing on finish. Better with cheese. $30

  • 2004 Soos Creek Ciel du Cheval Vineyard

    USA, Washington, Columbia Valley, Red Mountain

    Less alcohol than other wines, but still there on the nose. A hint of tart and organic greens on the nose as well. The alcohol is almost overwhelming on initial taste, followed by some spice, but no real fruit to speak of. There should be more character for Red Mountain. $34

  • 2004 Soos Creek Soleil

    USA, Washington, Columbia Valley

    Nose is full of alcohol, some dark qualities in there, leather, hint of leaf. Flavor has nice spice to it, with a little zing behind ripe fruit, medium tannins. Good food wine. When tried with chocolate, alcohol and grape seed was more present.
