Introduction
Overall I like the easy drinking style of Loire and Alsace wines, but didn't find anything that really was in a spectacular class that could compete with the best from other regions. I'll keep looking, since if I find that I'll be in heaven. Absolutely love the style.

Light, fresh, easily drinkable chilled, not yeasty. Very proud of myself for nailing that it's chenin blanc (has that sugary flavor).

Nice salinity on the nose and palate, nice but a bit low in fruit. Would go great with oysters, but I probably wouldn't drink this with anything else.

Nice fruit on the nose. Medium-full bodied with a hint of oak. Cross between a sauv blanc and chardonnay without quite the character of either. A bit flabby for me.

Complex nose with some spice, some fruit. Palate is definitely chenin blanc but more complex with great acid. Nice balance. 89-90

Mostly gamay; light color; bit funky, which I like, but also comes across a bit shrill/acidic on the nose; Palate thin, tannic, not much flavor.
