  • 2007 Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 88 Points

    Hungary, Tokaji

    Pronounced golden, very pronounced nose of honey, ginger cookies, apricot, dried stone fruits, nuts, complex. Sweet, medium acidity, white stone fruits such as peach this time, full bodied, some complexity already but noticeable less complex than 2002 vintage and yet less captivating.

  • 1999 Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos 92 Points

    Hungary, Tokaji

    Deep amber, intense nose of dried fruits, candied apple, sweet spice. Dry, high acidity, peaches, apricot, candied orange peel, racy cutting acidity balancing the sweetness and intense flavours. Full bodied with great complex, long long finish, continues to reveal different flavours. Very good.

  • 2002 Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos 89 Points

    Hungary, Tokaji

    Deep golden with some amber, nose much less pronounced than expected, stone fruits, nuts. Very sweet, high acidity. Peaches, sweet spice, long finish.Thick silky texture, meed. Balance between acidity-fruit-sweetness too heavy on the S. Transition to tertiary flavours still years away. Nice.

  • 2005 Disznókő Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos Kapi 89 Points

    Hungary, Tokaji

    Light golden colour, medium spicy nose, sesame (!), honey. Dry, medium-high acidity, citrus, lemon, apple, minerals. Fully balanced acidity, full bodied and very well defined. The wine characteristics of the Furmint must shine through clearly. Essence of Tokaji according to the winemaker.

    Hungary, Tokaji

    Medium deep-brandy colour, red brown, rust. Medium nose of toast, oak, honey, some distant fruit notes. Medium sweet, medium acidity, sweet spice, gingerbread, smoky, peaches fruit notes giving way to tertiary flavours. Never heavy on the palate, yet full body with long, lasting evolving finish. Beautifully aged great wine,
