Introduction
A wonderful occasion to taste 6 good vintages of Guado Al Tasso.
Nobody developed too high expectations, since RP scores were not high for the 1990s vintages.

Bottom line: I was glad to experience this tasting. A rare occasion. The 1997 was the best. Though every bottle was OK for itself, the 1997 shaded all the others. Also the Tua Rita Giusto di Notri. The young Flam shouldn't have been tasted but at the end of the tasting, not in the middle.

Red-brown color with amber rim;
Earthy, moss & leather secondary aromas;
med-full body, acidic & tannic, bitter, fungi, spicy, ripe cherries;
Good harmony. Slightly over the peak - but still enjoyable.
Long warm & alcoholic after-taste;

Dark red-brown color with amber rim;
Wet forest rotten earth, moss, spicy & leather secondary aromas;
Full body, acidic & round tannins, balanced bitterness, spicy, ripe fruits; Very good harmony. At peak - very enjoyable.

Rich, earthy, moss, bestial & leather secondary aromas;
Med body, med-acidic & med-tannic, spicy, ripe cherries;
Some harmony. Still enjoyable.

Fruity, some leather, some oak & spicy aromas;
Round & soft body, acidic & tannic, sweet-bitter, alcoholic;
Good harmony. Fine & elegant; still young.
Should age another 4-6 years.
