Introduction
It was trully a pleasure to kick back with some wines, some friends and some great BBQ! Fernando - we are always thankfull for your invites! It was great to see Diane and Joel again and great to meet Jose and Pey-Wen! a lovely afternoon!

steak - is there better food that grilled steak?? :) oh there were other things too but ...STEAK :) i guess i am not a vegetarian...

Flan at this house is not to be missed... seriously! this is where my manners go out the window - i will take all i can get!! and i am not a dessert person actually (other than dessert wines - those i love)

light refreshing rhone, with aair the nose revealed more flowers and leather, excellent acidity, very fresh and long, with excellent tannic grip on the finish. a wine froe pleasure rather than contemplation. perfect with dinner.

a mouthfull - rich and thick wine with a ton of black fruit. needs more time - improved in the decanter. lots of body, good leather notes and nice grip. would have liked a bit more acidity, good wine.

Wine of the day for me, close call with Erasmus but in the end - this won. Powerfull wine that surelly need a lot more time to settle down. amazing depth of cherry and other black fruit - yet this wine is not "fruity" in any sence, rather its a strong masculine wine with amazing acidity and a lovely long dry finish. YUMM!!

serious wine but still way too young. Powerfull fruit, sweet nose, excellent balance with a lot of minerality hiding in the background. full bodied wine thats made to be a blockbuster - and is one. will probably be 95+ with time but keep this one asleep.

Maybe this was a bit off?
very sweet nose, but with alc sticking out bit, ripe fruit (think young pintia), but with good acidity, short on the finish for now...
was it in an awkward phase? ingteresting wine - the fruit were lovely and if all integrates well it has potential.
