Really nice wines all around from Kitchak. These wines should all get some notice.

  • 2010 Kitchak Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Scherzo 90 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena

    Gorgeous rich ruby color. 100% Cab Sauv. Very interesting, I have enjoyed most of the CS roses I have had, and this was one of the better ones.Nose shows very bright fruits, citrus notes, grapefruit, and berries. The palate is tart with good acidity and showing more structure. This would be great on a hot night out on the deck.

  • 2008 Kitchak Cellars Vivace 92 Points

    USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley

    Light yellow color. Nice nose with lemon, green fruit, florals and minerals, with subtle oak. The palate is consistent, light and elegant, nice finish. This is a winner. Love seeing the Rhone blends being made here. 92+pts

  • 2006 Kitchak Cellars Adagio 93 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena

    Dark Red purple color. This was the more open of the two Adagio's, it seemed a tad more approachable, though at first I liked the '07 more. This really has a nice nose with ripe fruits of blueberries, plum, and black cherry and then earth. There is some weigt on the palate, the fruit is similar with a nice long finish, adding delicate spices and oak.

  • 2007 Kitchak Cellars Adagio 93 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena

    Dark red purple color. Drank this first and initally I preferred it, but after a closer comparison, it was a toss up for me, and I maybe leaned to the '06 just for where it is right now. The '07 has lovely dark fruits more blackberry, and black cherry here, earth, but not as much now and bit more oak. The palate is again lovely with good depth and acid with tannins that are fairly well integrated now. This will probably surpass the '06 in a year or two.

  • 2007 Kitchak Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Concerto Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard 92 Points

    USA, California, Napa Valley, Oakville

    The concerto was rather tight as expected, but it was showing that great earthy core now and the black fruits are lurking, showing hints of what this will become. The palate is clearly deep and concentrated, tannins are prominent, but not overly so. This has promise, 92+ currently with higher upside for sure.
