Such an exceptional Cantemerle that always surprises everyone when tasted (semi) blind. Dark colour. Sweet tones as tabac and chocolate in the nose, some barnyard as well. Excellent classic and elegant Bordeaux on the palate. Some tannins in the after taste. Still drinking well, no need to hurry.
Again a disappointing bottle of Margaux 1983. Leaves on the nose, cherries and eucalyptus. Smooth on the palate, soft fruits and elegant. But drying. We had a much better bottle (from the same case) some years ago.
Good bottle, interesting wine. Cherries, coffee and tobacco on the nose, some medicine chest tones as well. Nice mature tones on the palate with mineral/ Cabernet tones.
Dark colour. Dark sweet fruits on the nose with blackberries and prunes. Good intensity and complex with dark fruits on the palate. But drying tannins in the aftertaste indicating that this bottle isn't as good as earlier bottles.
Purple colour. Ripe black fruits as cassis and spices on the nose. Silk and smooth, powerful taste. Loads of tannins, sticks to your teeth. Pleasure to drink now but will get better with more age.
Modern made Pomerol dark ripe fruit and some flower tones on the nose. Very powerful, lots of fruit, minerals and sweet. Indeed as mentioned by others this wine must have had lots of young oak. Too young to drink now, needs time.
