Medium golden, nose with spice, oak, straw, herbal character to it. No signs of oxidation. Off-dry, high acidity, gingerbread spice, citrus, peach. Medium body, velvety structure. Although the finish still reveals razor sharp acidity, the lack of fruit and the lack of structure leaves the wine without soul. It is simply over the top yet not oxidized, the primary flavors are mostly gone yet not replaced by a coherent flavor palate. Will not buy this vintage again. Value/money n.a.

On the palate dry with medium acidity, full bodied, black plums, dried fruit, dark chocolate. Well structured, integrated, this hangs together, sweet tannins. Finish lasts for seconds and seconds,a gem. Value/money = 9.
