    South Africa, Coastal Region, Stellenbosch

    This is a great clean tasting chardonnay. A light grass on the palate but no over the top buttery oaky finish. Very pleasing and fresh.

  • 1999 La Ramada Malbec 87 Points

    Argentina

    Dark deep red and smooth. a light velvet on the palate with a hint of pepper in the finish. Some dark cherry down deep. When we unveiled and I saw it was a Malbec, I found it a little suprising as this has mellowed very well and was almost too soft for a Malbec.

    South Africa, Coastal Region, Stellenbosch

    Beautiful cassis on the nose with clean chalky dustiness. Very smooth and a lot better than I expected. Moderate tannins with a longer than average finish. Nice classic cabernet. Medium bodied.

    USA, California, Central Coast, Monterey County

    Copper edges and dark red. A light damp soil on the nose with dark non-sweetened prune. Moderately heavy tannins with a peppery and very light peppermint palate.
