Pale white gold. Floral, elderflower notes. Strong peach aromas intensifying with time in glass, to include limes and pear drops. Gravelly. Fresh lively palate. High acidity. Ripe, fairly full and sweet peach flavours. A little warm on the finish, which is dry. Sauvignon dominated. A tad blowsy and disjointed. Might be better in 12 months.
Straw, light gold. Quite closed initially, but nettley and hedgerow aromas develop with time. Lively palate. Super acidity. Not over ripe, the fruit is not to sweet. Very dry. Extremely precise and seemless throughout. Excellent value.
Gold colour. Oaky nose. Buttered toast, sweet and some spice. Smooth rounded palate. Oak seems to be relatively well integrated. Weighty, waxy and long. Still needs time though, maybe 2-5 years.
Oh dear. Starting with the positives, it has a lovely deep golden colour. Very clean, clear and looking good. Then it's just oak. Just behind the oak there's a hint of some honeyed dried fruit peel trying to force its way out. But generally fails. The palate is woody and gloopy with no finesse. Universal agreement at the tasting, so it's not just me.
Golden straw colour. Viscous. Honeyed, slightly vegetal notes and a distinctive aroma of tarragon. Buttery, creamy toast too. Intense. Wonderful acidity on the palate, and the tarragon really comes through here too. Extraordinarily smooth feel. Oak is not dominant at all, most marked on the finish. But this still has 2-3 more years ahead of it I'd say.

Very deep gold, looks like golden syrup. Sweet marmalade aromas, very citrus and floral. Dried peel; papaya. Fresh attack on the palate, with a ripe and rich mid palate. Plenty of dried citrus fruit. Lush, sweet and nice. Finishes dryer than perhaps might have thought from nose and the mid palate. Good value.
Deep gold. Barley sugar aromas, very rich with a distinctive minerality too. Racy palate, very smooth and nicely balanced. Not cloying at all. Rich, dried fruit peel. Very, very long. Well made. Pretty good value too at £20 per 750ml.
Wine of the night. Lovely clear deep golden colour. Just makes you want to dive in. A little closed at first on the nose, but then you begin to get minerals and finally the brown sugars, creme brulee, lovely citrus fruit, etc. Wonderfully layered. The palate is to die for. Sublimely smooth and velvet in texture, yet the racy acidity gives it a silky feel too. Seductive. Creamy, unctuous, lush, just wonderful. And unbelievably long. If d'Yquem is sex in a bottle, then this is very good foreplay!
