    France, Bordeaux

    Sauvignon blanc predominates with sour peachiness beneath it.
    Slightly baked ripe fruit character with loads of acidity, trying to be a new world wine, begging for fish, very youthful but not for long keeping.

    Slightly honeyed sauvignon blanc nose, with honeysuckle perfume.
    The opposite of blowsy, classic bordeaux style, elegance, seemless, excellent length.

    Lovely delicate nose, sweet ripe fruit, buttered toast, not overwhelming.
    A substantial wine, very oaky but without being unpleasant, very full, needs time to fulfil its potential

    Delicate oaky nose, buttery an fruity - but there are also some burnt notes.
    Intially intersting in the mouth, quite refreshing but the mid palte is completely bland.

    France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan

    Initially there was lots of sulphur, then the oak came through, but after some patient sniffing there was an interesting fruity complexity.
    The initial oak in the mouth is acceptable, there's a lovely acidity and a beautiful balance, but this was infanticide, this wine deserves another 2 - 5 years in the cellar.

    An excellent lightness and complexity to the nose, melon, creamy honey, subtle demerera.
    Elegant, very sweet, good acidity, wonderful balance.
