Tasted the 4 wine with each respective cheese and then with the opposites to see the contrast and how off it is to potentially pair the wrong wine with the wrong cheese.
The Burgundy was great with the Alemar Cheese Co "Bent River", but terrible with the Clover Creek Dairy "Pirate Blue" as an example.
2010 Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc 90 Points
USA, California, North Coast
Very nice. Paired with Barinaga Ranch (Marin County) Aged Basque Style Sheep's Milk. Great complement to each other. Nice lemon and citrus on the nose. Smooth in the mouth with enough creaminess that I like and solid acidity.

2007 Domaine de Montille Beaune 1er Cru Les Sizies 88 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru
Paired with the Alemar Cheese Company (Menkato, Minnesota) "Bent River" Camembert Style Cow's Milk.
Solid Burgundy, like more with the cheese than without. Fresh fruits/bright cherries, crisp, lighter style. Nice acidity at the end.
Not overly complex but solid and complimented the intensity of the cheese and contrasted each other in a very good way.

Kept going back to it. Great with the Blue.
