Introduction
Dinner at Stolpman Vineyards out in vineyard, annual event, with Erin. Great time, great food, great people. Not to mention the great wine.
Hope to be able to attend again.

2008 Stolpman Roussanne L'Avion 91 Points

Tasted at dinner in the vineyards event at Stolpman. One of the better whites I have tried from West Coast. Pear, melon, tropical fruit, nice and thick. Beautiful stuff.
From Winery: "100% Roussanne picked when golden-brown in late November. Fermented in 100% New French Ermitage 500L Puncheons and aged in New Oak for 15 months."

2008 Stolpman Syrah Originals 89 Points

Tasted at dinner in the vineyards event at Stolpman.
Nice cherry fruit and some darker ones, good texture but not over the top Syrah some some from Cali. A little bit of spice/pepper too.
A bit awkward finish I thought - couldn't but my finger on it.
Enjoyed the Hilltops better for some more complexity and smoothness.

2008 Stolpman Angeli 91 Points

Tasted at dinner in the vineyards event at Stolpman. 100% Sangiovese this year. Ages for 32 months I believe in oak. Big huge Sangiovese that is chocolate and vanilla in the mouth. Very smooth finish.
This has a long life ahead of it.

2009 Stolpman La Cuadrilla Red 89 Points

Tasted at dinner in the vineyards event at Stolpman. Didn't make a grenache in '09, it all went into this 50/50 (grenache/syrah) blend.
Nice bottle of wine, surprised me over the evening. Nice smooth fruits, plum, game, earth and smoke too.

Tasted at dinner in the vineyards event at Stolpman. Like the complexity here, fruit forward but not over the top. Very nice nose that I kept going back to. Smooth finish and doing well right now but could use a few more years.

Tasted at dinner in the vineyards event at Stolpman. Nice fruity Sangiovese. Still had solid smoke, earth tones. Very nice bottle - needs time
