2009 Ortman Family Vineyards Chardonnay 88 Points

No oak, which I really appreciate in a Chardonnay. Perfect hot, summer wine. Nice nose. Pear, peaches, good minerality. Crisp.

2008 Ortman Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Salisbury Vineyard 88 Points

Vineyard near Avila Beach. Agree with other taster here. Nice QPR and a crowd pleaser. Liked the Turner Vineyard a bit more for its complexity and more clove / smokey flavors. This had nice balance of fruit, earth and smooth.

Very nice pinot. Dark fruits, smoke, cloves, complexity and earthiness. Still smooth and easy to drink now. Bought a bottle.
