A shame to drink this so young. Well not really, it was really a thrill to drink. Apples and pears go from start to finish. Some nice lemon elements come out on the nose. Palate and finish are incredibly energetic, driven by minerality and acidity. This sneaks up on you, seeming to start as something rather elegant but ending as a powerful wine.

Good Vosne spice, good fruit, just nothing exceptional. While not tired, this just came across and simpler snd somewhat shorter than i would have expected from this wine in this vintage at what should be its early peak.

I'm going to give this the benefit of the doubt and suggest it was a flawed bottle. But at dinner we just thought the fruit was reasonably faded and uninteresting, then further lost behind the powerful acidity and tannic structure you would expect from the sisters' top Grand Cru in this vintage. Not undrinkable - we came close to finishing it - but showing as an "84 or 85 point" wine.
