I really enjoy novovino's portfolio. Very diverse with a lot of very good producers. There's always something that sticks out for me that I wouldn't have expected

• 2007 Kingston Family Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Cariblanco 87 Points

  nose: fresh and crisp nose of lemon zest, wet stones, grassy tones and some bits of jalapeno peppers
  
  taste: lighter bodied with good medium+ acidity and fresh tones of citrus, lemon zest, and grassy tones
  
  overall: nice and fresh. More of a sipper as there isn't much depth to the tones though there is a nice crispness on both the nose and palate

• 2008 Kingston Family Vineyards Pinot Noir Tobiano 86 Points

  nose: nice nose of cherries, raspberries, spice tones and bits of dark red fruits
  
  taste: medium bodied with medium acidity and nice tones of cherries, candy, raspberries and dark red fruits
  
  overall: a nice pinot. Its balanced and nice, but is fairly standard though well put together

  nose: very attractive and dark nose of dark red cherries, pepper, black fruits, and some bits of bacon fat
  
  taste: full bodied with a silkier feel and very good tones of dark red cherries, dark berries, pepper tones and some bacon fat as well
  
  overall: very good depth on both the nose and palate. The feel on this was very good and there wasn't too much in teh way of tannins. Well balanced as well with a real good dark fruit core

  nose: excellent nose of crushed rocks, black cherries, black fruits, pepper and bits of violets
  
  taste: full bodied with chewy tannins and very balanced tones of black fruits, crushed rocks, black cherries, charcoal, and some bits of black pepper
  
  overall: this was a really good syrah. I loved the more northern rhone take on the tones, but there was definitely prominent dark fruit on both the nose and palate

  nose: precise and aromatic nose of almonds, roasted nuts, and some tones of orange peels

  overall: this is a real quality dry sherry. Crisp and linear on both the nose and palate with good depth as well

  nose: beautiful and balanced nose of dried roses, tobacco, cherries, various floral tones along with tones of roasted herbs and spices

  overall: very perfumed and elegant. Young and it does need some time, but very pretty at a very reasonable price

  nose: absolutely lovely and flowing nose of tar, roses, dark red cherries, herbs and a touch of strawberries. Excellent depth, though a bit tight at this time
  
  taste: very young and aggresive tannins right now with a medium/full feel and medium/high acidity. Well balanced and pretty tones of tar, strawberries, roses, and dark red cherries
  
  overall: this does need some real time before it's ready. There is a lot to like though with this having a very feminine and perfumed style to it. This could be a real find with at least another 5 years

  nose: very perfumed and elegant nose of red cherries, spice tones, roasted herbs, purple florals and bits of tar. Excellent depth and very engrossing on the nose
  
  taste: plush medium/full body with coarse tannins and medium/high acidity. Pretty tones of red cherries, fresh picked berries, roasted herbs, tar and lots of spice tones balance very well together
  
  overall: obviously young, but a real quality barolo that shows off a ton on the nose. Both the nose and palate have good complexity, but the tannins and acidity are a bit oppressive at this time

  overall: this was a real quality barbera. Very well balanced with a great savory quality to it that was very enjoyable. The wine also had very good depth on both the nose and palate

  overall: this certainly needs time to fully develop. this can turn into a real pretty barolo and certainly has the structure to last a while as well

  nose: enveloping and deep nose of roasted herbs, spices, bits of peppery tones, loads of red cherries, fresh picked berries and floral tones. It is a bit tight at first, but opens up pretty fast
  
  taste: the youth really shows off here with gripping tannins and medium/high acidity. Very elegant and refined medium feel along with tones of roasted herbs, tar, spices, red cherries, floral tones and a lot of fresh picked berries
  
  overall: This was beautiful. Very well balanced and perfumed along with great deep tones on both the nose and palate

  overall: this is a brutally young amarone. Full bodied and rich on both the nose and palate, this does need some time to smooth out the rough edges and really show itself

  taste: full bodied with big tannins and rich tones of roasted coffee, black cherries, chocolate, black spices, and black raspberry tones with a touch of heat on the back end
  
  overall: this needs some serious sideways time. The tannins are pretty oppressive right now, but it is showing very good depth on both the nose and palate

  nose: pristine nose of red apples, white fruits, mineral tones, white florals and some bits of citrus tones as well
  
  taste: balanced and very good medium feel with medium acidity and tones of apples, minerals, citrus tones and some white florals
  
  overall: a very good bubbly. This is lacking a some depth that would make it a lot better. Still, the style is pretty forward, clean, and enjoyable

  nose: tight, but classy with grand cru depth on the nose with tones of dark berries, brown spices, earth tones, dark red fruits and dark florals
  
  taste: great medium body with high acidity and thrashing tannins that are very noticeable on the palate. Well balanced with nice depth and tones of dark berries, earth, dark red fruits and some floral tones poke through
  
  overall: This needs a good amount of time. Well balanced and what is showing is showing well. Good depth that one would expect as well on both the nose and palate

  nose: good and open nose of dark red fruits, creamed black cherries, garrigue and dark spice tones
  
  taste: medium bodied with plush tannins and balanced tones of dark red fruits, dark spices, and creamed black cherries. There is a bit of heat that pops up as well
  
  overall: a very good CdP. Balanced but lacking some depth on both the nose and palate with the heat being a bit bothersome

  overall: this does need some time to trim the baby fat off. Well balanced and very aromatic with excellent tones on the palate as well

  nose: sweeter and fresh nose with tones of petrol, green apples, limes and a good mineral undercurrant. Good depth, but rather tight right now as well
  
  taste: medium bodied with medium+ acidity and balanced tones of petrol, green apples, minerals, white fruits and a good bit of limes. Good depth, but the acidity is showing a bit much right now
  
  overall: this is a young riesling that is built for some good mid-term aging. Well balanced with excellent tones on both the nose and palate

While I got to a good amount of wines, it sure felt like I could've gotten to a lot more. Lots of different wines to taste from which always makes things enjoyable
