Rather anonymous. Thought it was a grand cru Burgundy but unable to pinpoint the exact appellation. Big and quite oaky, but the minerality emerged slowly over time. Still a monument. I actually had it before but that bottle seemed more exuberant than this.

A little stemmy and with good complexity. This was light-weight but rather pure. Initially guessed this was a Chambolle from the purity and elegance. Still tight but definitely classy. Needs more time to evolve. However, it does lack some wow factor considering the pedigree. A wine for quiet contemplation perhaps.
Almost like a classic Bordeaux except the flavor profile and tannins were just a tad new worldly. Very mellow now and delicious. I like this quite a lot and would enjoy it very much with a good steak.
I just did not "get" this wine at all. I tried younger Sandrones with beautifully perfumed Barolo grace but this one was simply big and tannic. Probably shut down tight. Needs >5 years at least.
Copper. Not very viscous. Still fruit dominated with plums and some chinese tea. Sweetness holding well. Still very fresh. Interesting and quite enjoyable.
What a treat, my first Carruades. The exuberant nose showed everything you would expect from the appellation, cedar, graphite, etc. In fact, I would call this a super-charged Pauillac. Not overly tainted by the vintage. Balanced with an intense flavor profile. I wouldn't call this classic but very enjoyable all the same. A wow wine.

Big, flabby and a little savory. Perhaps has been popped for a while. Quite simple with candied new world sweetness.

Quite dry but mildly sweet on the finish. Smooth on the palate with a limey flavor. Clean with good intensity. Not overly acidic. Not bad.
