Introduction
Lunch with Olivier Masmondet and my Chicago Lieu-dit Cru in the former convent in Beaune converted to Jadot beautiful dining hall and reception area.
1999 Louis Jadot Corton-Charlemagne Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot 91 Points
France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
Nose showed spice and apples and pears. Same flavors continued on to the palate. Starting to show some age, seems less crisp and vibrant than when I've had this before.

1993 Louis Jadot Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Corvées 89 Points

Still muscular but showing more red than black fruit. Good spice starting to emerge. Don't recall trying this wine before, normally not a headliner in the Jadot lineup, but drinking very well today.

1979 Louis Jadot Clos Vougeot Domaine Louis Jadot 91 Points

Quite a treat. First bottle didn't show so well, second was much better, comments are on the second. Red fruit and different mushroom nuances on the nose. Spice came out on the palate, which was dominated by intriguing mushroom flavors as well. Not particularly dense or long lived in glass, but charming and lots of fun after a morning barrel tasting dozens of Jadot's amazing 2009s.
