Wine tasting. Nice floral aromatics. Apple and pear smells and flavors. Moderate ripeness. Very good for its level.

Wine tasting. Floral nose with good spice and orchard fruit. Same fruit comes through on palate, showing good fruit density and acidity on finish.

2009 Domaine Sylvain Langoureau Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly Blanc 91 Points

Wine tasting. Great floral aromas with lots of orchard fruit aromas. More stone fruit on palate with good spice coming through as well. Charming finish, even if not incredibly long. Great value wine.

2009 Domaine Pernot-Bélicard Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Perrières 91 Points

Wine tasting. This was my favorite from barrel last year and my favorite again from a smaller lineup tasted today. Mostly apple and pear on nose, then some stone fruit on finish. Really impressive minerality and acidity provide lift for the finish.

Wine tasting. Big stone ripe fruit, lots of density. Good acidity comes through on moderate finish, showing some hints of lemon peel.

Wine tasting. Ripe fruit all the way through, very characteristic of 2009. Flavors of apple and pear with spice hints. Well balanced for the vintage. Moderate length, not lots of nuance.

2008 Domaine François Mikulski Meursault 1er Cru Charmes 90 Points

Wine tasting. Really good spice on nose. Apple and pear aromas, following through nicely to palate. Lots of minerality and acidity come through from middle through end, this is a classically styled Meursault.

Wine tasting. Floral nose with good ripe fruit aromas. Flavors of candied apple and some peach, modest spice. Good flavors, somewhat simple finish, but an incredible value wine.

Wine tasting. Floral nose with some good fruit as well. More dense fruit coming through on palate, but still somewhat under-ripe. This is all about acid, minerality and energy.

Wine tasting. Big fruit with very good spice on the nose. Powerful and dense fruit, perhaps showing more 2009 attributes than the most classic Chablis character, but a very good, intense wine.

Wine tasting. A rare example of a good US Viognier. Really charming floral and spicy aromas. Palate is a bit lean, which works in this wine's favor by keeping it balanced vs. most US Viognier, which are too often hot, flabby and unbalanced. I preferred this basic Viognier to one from the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard.

Wine tasting. Vosne spice jumps out of the glass from the start. Red fruit with modest spice on the palate. Moderate length and intensity on the end.

Wine tasting. Lots of red fruit and spice on nose. Dense fruit on palate but roughly hidden behind lots of tannin for now. Tight and dry for now, i would want to give this until 2018 or later.

Wine tasting. Ripe fruit on nose and palate, would have liked more spice today. Very rustic and angular. I'm such a big fan of their whites, but I continue struggling to find red I enjoy. And not just J-N Gagnard...almost all of Chassagne-Montrachet.

Wine tasting. Red cherry on nose with good spice, much more "red" than I expected from a Gevrey-Chambertin Grand Cru. Really impressive spice on palate, still mostly red cherry with hints of black cherry. Very integrated already with structure that sneaks up on you, not overwhelming the fruit at all. Good textures, really good length that showcases the spice well.

Wine tasting. Black and intense fruit from start to finish. Lots of meaty spice on both nose and palate, helping increase the overall intensity at every level. Powerful, long finish. A hedonistic wine for now, this is a Gevrey Villages that may really unfold in a charming direction. Very impressive for its level.

Wine tasting. Big spice on nose - black pepper and anise. Red cherry flavors. Not the biggest or most dense fruit, but really elegant and silky all the way through. Hints of chocolate at end. Really alluring textures and finish. Even better than when tasted at Ogier last September, I should try to post those note but there were almost 20 wines that afternoon.
